Care information

Jute: Any variations in weave are part of each door mat’s handmade nature and are not considered a defect.

Rug rotation: To ensure even wear, be sure to rotate once a year. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Do not use the door mat directly on carpet as some colour may transfer over time.

Vacuuming: Vacuum using a low powered vacuum cleaner. Should long ends of yarn appear on the surface, do not pull. Use scissors to trim yarn evenly with rug surface.

Cleaning: For surface cleaning, use a sponger, wipe a mixture of dish soap and water lightly over the entire surface. Remove by wiping again using a clean cloth and water.

Stains: Treat stains immediately. Spot clean with damp cloth only by pressing firmly. Continue to blot the area until the stain is removed. Do not rub. For deeper cleaning, a professional rug cleaning service is recommended.

Loose Fibres: Fibre ends or loops may wriggle loose and appear above the natural pile height of the rug. This is common in handwoven rugs and is not considered a fault. Maintain by trimming or pushing through to the underside.
